Includes: letters and notes (40) from Anderson to Helen Dinsmoor, 1938-41; drafts and retained copies of Dinsmoor's letters to Anderson; a questionnaire filled out by Anderson; his notes on Dinsmoor's thesis; photographs (23) of Anderson, his friends, and his homes; and some related material. The letters document the friendship and brief romance of Anderson and Dinsmoor; address his professional and personal travels; reading, writing, and lecturing; political views; reminiscences of his early life, military service, and literary career; and thoughts on love and his relationship with his wife, Eleanor.
